White Sage | 10cm

White sage is traditionally used for smoke cleansing rituals where it is believed to rid spaces of negative, low vibrational energies and entities (spirits). When used in a ritual, it is important to unify all elements such as earth (represented by the sage itself); air (represented by the smoke and a feather to send smoke into all corners); fire (represented by the flame); and water (represented by a Paua shell). As white sage can often 'spit' flame and embers, it's important to have something directly underneath to catch this, ensuring you don't burn anything by mistake. 
 
White sage can be used effectively to clear home and work spaces after conflict; having guests; bouts of anxiety or illness; or when things are feeling 'stuck'. To cleanse a space, ensure all windows and doors are open, and begin at the back of the house, moving the smoke into high and low corners, cupboards and so on. It is important to cleanse yourself with the smoke first (ideally outside), and to leave the doors and windows open until the smoke has dissapted. Ideally, you will use an intention or incantation throughout, such as the simple one below: 
 
"Earth, Air, Fire, Water, 
Cleanse, Dismiss, Dispel!"
 
Each white sage bundle is 10cm long, and approx. 4cm thick.
